Winter Safety

New England was just hit with a historic Nor’easter of epic proportions, dumping upwards of 2 feet and more of snow in many locations. We at The Law Offices of Joanne E. Mattiace want you to have fun, stay safe, and keep warm this winter. Always remember to check that your vehicle’s tail pipe is clear of snow before getting into your car, as a blocked tail pipe can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning, and never leave a car running inside of a garage. Never use grills or other fuel run heating elements inside your home. Check that heater and dryer vents are also clear of snow. Please, check on any neighbors who are elderly, or live alone. If you don’t have to be anywhere, stay home in inclement weather. For more information on snow thrower safety, please visit the CPSC’s website.

If you are a manufacturer, distributor, importer, or retailer of products used in inclement weather, do you know what your product safety responsibilities are? Don’t end up on the CPSC recall list; Contact Attorney Mattiace today at 877-481-0734, toll free, for a free consultation.
